Hello Members,
Here is Eric contacting you from New York.
I am glad that this step is taken forward. My congratulations to you all and you have all my support and my part taking in this venture.I have met with Producers and many organisations that may be interested in this development as we had suggested earlier on to have this board be effective.
On this note, I would like to announce to you that I have a set up company that would very much help circulate the main goal of this forum/ Show films to our East African Community.
As many of you know, I founded the travelling film festival in Rwanda/ Hillywood - and this is some thing that should be expanded into the whole region.
The idea from me is to provide the simple infrastructure that should help circulate our work into our community.
In this regard, I have founded and invested money to provide access to the infrastructure in this process; a Mobile Movie experience to the community by showing our movies using the Inflatable Cinema Africa tools, which is a Blow up Screen that can easily be transported from Kibera to Limuru, from Dar to Moshi and from Ngozi to Bujumbura and from Kampala to Mbarara by simply blowing up this Screen on an Open ground, with a projector and speacial package of two way speakers- this makes an incredible movie experience to your community you care about- and this is a company that I created with a Utah based partner that has introduced me to this technology, the company that indeed manufactures these innovative tools that would very much work for our community.
Many films have been produced in East Africa and yet very few East African have seen these movies yet. As an exemple Jitu Productions housed in Vividhas just produced over 15 features films with Kenyan Talents... this shows that East Africa movie industry should be on the move now as our people are hungry to have their faces seen and voices heard on screen.
I am keen to be able to facilitate the purchase of Inflatable movie screens to each one of the countries where members should take a step in reaching out their government and various organisations to run this campaign. The Ball is in your hand and I am keen to help as much as I can in this process of providing you the screens.
As we speak I have more than 8 screens in Rwanda which I can delvier to each of the member countries once a partner is found and is interested in part taking in this exciting venture.
Charles Asiba experienced the impact of this when he came with me during the 4th edition of the Rwanda Film Festival and the Impact of this piece of equipment is simply amazing.
please check: http://www.filmfestivalrwanda.com/ or simply google Hillywood and the videos will pop up youtube to give you an idea in this process.
Let me know which member would be able to handle this now as I may need to place an order to respond to this immediate response as we need to deliver some thing to our community. Yes We Can! Yes We can.
I am back in East Africa/Rwanda on Saturday and whoever needs this delivered and propose to handle this innitiative should contact me on my email or on my following number in Rwanda:
+250 083064 80
By showing movies from our community to our community is the only way we can claim an existing thriving East African Film Industry.Let me know how I can be one of the tools of Change!
The Ball is in your hands:
Thanks
